About Hob Moor
Hob Moor, one of the ancient commons of York, is situated between Acomb, Holgate and Dringhouses; it is 1.5 miles south-west of the Minster, not far from the Racecourse.

Friends of Hob Moor was set up in 1999 with the following objectives:
- To work in collaboration with others to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the natural environment of Hob Moor.
- To promote Hob Moor as an open space amenity for education, recreation and leisure time occupation.
- To promote research into the history and ecology of Hob Moor.
