BHE Agricultural Contractors

BHE Agricultural Contractors have been installing fences around Hob Stone Development recently. Simon who owns BHE is also the owner of cattle who graze the Moor in the summer, and will update his Facebook page with news about the cattle.

March 25th Event

The “Presence on the Moor” scheduled for March 25 between 10am – 12noon (listed in the Autumn newsletter) has been postponed. We will post a new date when it is decided.

Moor to Life in Local Link

In the December issue of Local Link, Hob Moor is featured in a Treasure Hunt “Moor to Life,” which is a guided walk from the Knavesmire to Hob Moor. It can be found on pages 24 – 25.

Skylarks Spotted

From Stephanie, Chairperson of FOHM: “While walking across the middle of the Moor this afternoon I saw 3 Skylarks ascend from the Moor to the sky singing.”

Hob Stone Tree Threatened

Sadly, we have to report this development in the buffer zone between the Hob Stone Housing and the Moor itself. Caustic builder’s rubble has been dumped against this tree which will kill it if left.
